Decision Biomarkers, Inc. (DBI) has pioneered the development of the next generation multiplexed immunoassay platform – a compact, turn-key system for protein biomarker analysis with applications throughout the life sciences industry. Based in Waltham, MA, DBI was founded in 2002.
The Technical Sales Representative, West Coast Region, concentrating in the California area, will have the following basic responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed the sales objectives for the territory.
- Build and maintain strong business and scientific relations with accounts: biotech, research companies or universities.
- Develop and close direct sales opportunities for the Company’s products and services.
Experience and Qualifications:
- BS in life sciences, preferably biology.
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in a life science research laboratory setting, selling equipment, software, and/or services.
- Experience with clinical trials, life science markets, central laboratory, proteomics, and/or biomarkers field is preferable.
- A proven track record at mid and high level contacts within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic industries.
- Strong closing skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, organizational skills, professional appearance and determination to succeed.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to identify and develop sales leads, professionally present capabilities, and manage the sales process through closing.
- Possess the necessary computer skills to handle sales automation systems, PowerPoint, word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
Percent Travel Required: 50% (estimated)
Salary will be based on experience. Compensation also includes stock options as well as a generous benefits package.
