Waltham, MA - August 9, 2005 – Today, Roger Dowd, President and Chief Executive Officer of Clinical Microarrays, Inc. announced that the company has changed its name to Decision Biomarkers, Inc. and relocated its operations from Natick to 150 Bear Hill Road in Waltham, MA. Decision Biomarkers, an early stage life sciences company, is the developer of the first fully-automated, multiplexed immunoassay system for quantitating protein biomarkers that delivers clinically precise results during the drug development process.

“We decided to change our name to better communicate the scope and value of what the company is preparing to deliver to the market. For the first time, multiplexed biomarker panels will be measured with clinical precision from biomarker validation through clinical trials testing,” said Roger Dowd, Decision Biomarkers’ President and CEO.

He continued by saying, “Now that we have successfully moved from our R&D phase to a pre-commercialization phase, we needed a bigger, state-of-the-art facility to accommodate adding new staff and equipment. Our new location has more than 10,000 square feet. This has enabled us to hire 20 new employees to date.

Decision Biomarkers has developed the Avantra™Q400 Biomarker Workstation that will be introduced in September during CHI’s Protein Biomarkers 2005 Conference in Philadelphia. The system can evaluate biomarker panels with a high degree of accuracy and reproducibility. It will enable researchers and clinicians to have confidence in their results and make a more informed decision about whether to proceed to the next phase of a clinical trial. Decision Biomarkers will also offer an Assay Development Service and develop validated custom multiplexed assays of user-specified biomarker panels for the Avantra™Q400 Biomarker Workstation's customers.
